It’s been a large minute since I wrote here.
This is my attempt at getting myself out of a crazy writer’s block. I have so many drafts and ideas penned down but I could not publish them because they were not good enough.
I will be revamping the newsletter this year and to kick that off, we will be changing the name of the newsletter.
It’s now Iterate and this just simplifies what I was trying to achieve with Products & Producting (former name); a way to discover innovative products, product processes and frameworks.
What’s The Switch Up?
In the past year, I found out how inadequate I was as a product manager and I have been committed to learning. This newsletter will be an avenue for me to learn and become a better product manager.
I hope I can do the same for every product person or builder that subscribes and reads the newsletter.
Now that there is some clarity, the goal is to become the African version of Lenny’s Newsletter, which means being the source of practical product knowledge and even the source of products making an impact in the ecosystem.
Iterate’s Specials:
Product Spotlight: There’s a real need here, there are so many amazing products doing providing value with amazing teams and Iterate will bring them close to you. We are not going to be another ProductHunt but we’ll focus more on walking you through how these products were discovered, and the processes that sustain the development & operations of these products.
Processes: I spoke about feeling inadequate because I did not just know enough. I will be speaking to experienced product people about a number of topics regarding products and processes.
Learnings: Honestly, I learn best when I teach. I intend to use this to cover PM fundamentals and touch on topics readers request. I also want to use this to publish more product case studies.
With iterate, you will understand how product people across Africa are shipping and sustaining amazing products, you will get insights from them.
That’s enough reintroduction, let’s get to shipping!
